The American SAP User Group hosts a myriad of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that focus in on specific topics within the SAP landscape. DATUM is a strong participant in the Data Governance SIG. At last year's summit, over 70% of the customer stories presented were DATUM customers.
The ASUG DG SIG addresses topics associated with building a strong data governance strategy to support successful SAP implementations and sustain a stable master data infrastructure. Reliability, consistency, and accuracy are essential ingredients to the enterprise-wide use of SAP master data. The DG SIG focuses on a variety of data quality topics including:
- Defining, sharing, and leveraging best practices
- Implementing processes and measures to ensure integrity of master data
- Promoting the value of master data as a corporate asset
- Sharing and developing methods for gaining stakeholder support of data governance strategies
The ASUG Data Governance Special Interest Group (DG SIG) will hold their 11th Annual ASUG DG Summit on September 28-30 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event will be located at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Registration for this event is free and is open to all ASUG members. The DG SIG Summit fills up quickly each year, so register now!
