DATUM Appoints Two New Senior Executives To Support Continued Growth

DATUM, a leading data stewardship and governance solutions company, has announced the addition of two information management industry veterans in response to continued growth. Paul Wedeking has joined DATUM as Senior Vice President of Channel Strategy and Ecosystem Development and Mark Zavrel has joined DATUM as Senior Vice President of Sales.

Wedeking joins DATUM with extensive data and analytics company channel growth experience and will be focused on recruiting and managing channel partners as a means to expand the DATUM ecosystem. In previous positions, most recently for KPMG Capital, Wedeking has advised companies around the world on their channel growth strategy and has fostered senior executive relationships within large consulting firms. Additionally, Wedeking has held senior leadership positions with A.T. Kearney, Potomac Partners, AT&T, and served five years as IBM’s Managing Director for two of its largest Integrated Accounts.

The company also named Mark Zavrel in a new leadership role as Senior Vice President of Sales. Zavrel brings over 20 years of sales and operational leadership experience in enterprise software and services, and is driving DATUM’s next level go-to-market and sales strategy as the company expands the customer footprint for software and services across digital transformation use cases.

Prior to joining DATUM, Zavrel was the National Vice President of Platform and Analytics Sales for SAP, a role he earned after joining through the acquisition of Business Objects. While at Business Objects Zavrel led the Services division for the Americas and was instrumental in developing the sales approach to include a core set of services and value propositions that boosted customer retention, satisfaction and engagement, and ultimately fueled the SAP Digital Services portfolio post acquisition. Zavrel has also held executive GM, sales and customer success management roles at Oracle, Ciber and Inovalon.
